Burrumarra Park in Ngunnawal is getting an upgrade!
In 2020, local resident Pradeep Sornaraj and his son Noah ran a petition which Suzanne Orr sponsored to have the local playground upgraded due to it’s age. After the petition, ACT Labor committed to upgrading the park at the 2020 election. Suzanne is pleased that this commitment is in progress to be delivered.
Between 14 February and 30 March 2022, residents of Ngunnawal were given the opportunity to respond to a survey on potential upgrades to Burrumarra Park. During this time a total of 211 responses were received. This shows a strong need within this part of the community to have Burrumarra Park upgraded. The responses to the survey have been used to develop this community brief to inform the development of the park upgrade design.
Thank you to all who participated in the survey!
The responses to the survey have been used to develop this community design brief to the Minister for Transport and City Services, to help inform the initial design and advocate for this site to be chosen out of the final two options
